Before the big day, we’d love to get everyone who’s already in Portugal together on Saturday afternoon. Our Welcome Party will take place in the same area as the wedding.

We’ll be getting married at Herdade do Perú, in Azeitão, around 40 minutes from Lisbon.

Formal
For the ladies, we suggest long dresses.
For the gentlemen, suits, with ties optional.
We’ll share more details and inspiration for both events by the end of 2026.
GETTING THERE

Flying in
The nearest airport is Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) in Lisbon, approximately 40 minutes by car from the wedding area. Journey times can vary quite a bit depending on traffic.
From the airport to Azeitão / Sesimbra
Herdade do Perú is around 37 km from the airport. The easiest way to get to the area is by car. You’ll find car hire services, taxis, Uber and Bolt at the airport.
Getting around
Uber and Bolt operate in Lisbon and the surrounding area. Closer to the date, we’ll share more information about getting around and transport for the events.
WHERE TO STAY
If you’d like to stay by the sea and close to the wedding venue, Sesimbra is a great option, just 13 km away, with several hotels to choose from.
The team at Herdade do Perú recommended this hotel to us, and we’ve managed to get a discount code: NINANICO10. To use it, click on “Special Codes or Rates” when booking and enter the code in the “Corporate/Promotion Code” field. It’s also worth checking Booking.com to compare rates.

A little tip: If you’re joining us for the Welcome Party, we recommend arriving in Portugal on Friday or on Saturday morning, as the party will take place on Saturday afternoon.
TIPS
For now, we have just one very important tip: take Tuesday off work!
